Organic Farm in Rishikesh
The Neeraj Organic Farm sits on the retreat grounds in Rishikesh, where we grow our own vegetables, fruits, and herbs using chemical-free, sustainable methods. It is not a showcase feature. It is where a large part of what you eat during your stay actually comes from.
Whether you are enjoying a meal made with vegetables picked that same morning or walking through the farm between therapy sessions, you get a direct look at how your food is grown, not just a description of it.
What Grows Here
Fresh vegetables, harvested daily and used in that day’s meals
Seasonal fruits, grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers
Herbs used specifically in our Ayurvedic and Satvik cooking
Rotating seasonal crops, so what is served changes through the year rather than staying fixed
Why the Farm Matters to Your Treatment, Not Just Your Meals
Food quality is part of Ayurvedic treatment, not separate from it. When our kitchen plans meals around what is actually ready to harvest that week, guests on a Panchakarma or detox program get produce that is fresher and closer to how Ayurvedic nutrition is meant to work, rather than meals built around a fixed menu regardless of season.
This is also why the farm is walking distance from the kitchen. Shorter time between harvest and plate means less nutrient loss, which is a real, measurable factor in how fresh food actually is, not just a marketing phrase.
A Quiet Place to Walk
Guests are welcome to walk through the farm at any point during their stay. It is a simple, unscheduled way to spend part of an afternoon, somewhere between a yoga session and a therapy appointment, without needing to plan it as an activity.
For many guests, this becomes one of the smaller, unexpected parts of the retreat they remember, not because it is dramatic, but because it is quiet and real.
Every meal at The Neeraj Ganga Wellness Retreat starts here, in the soil, before it ever reaches your plate.
